The Baseball Writers Association of America today voted to elect two very deserving candidates to the Hall of Fame in Bert Blyleven and Roberto Alomar. Both were elite players in their day and have earned their busts in Cooperstown. Congratulations, Bert and Roberto. Yet again, the Hall of Fame kept its doors closed to any new Brewers of years past, but at least we still have Robin Yount and Paul Molitor.
I was disappointed to see the lack of support for Tim Raines, John Olerud, Edgar Martinez, and Jeff Bagwell in particular. Barry Larkin also deserves to be in the Hall but with the support he has garnered so far it is only a matter of time.
