The beginning of spring training does not only signify the dawn of a brand new baseball season. It also marks the start of a yearly tradition for baseball dorks, one that leaves men and women across the country hunched over lists of players and statistics of every single team in the league.
Fantasy baseball.
Here at Disciples of Uecker, we will be coordinating at least one fantasy baseball league. The number of leagues and the size of those leagues depends on the amount of interest from all of you. No date has been picked, so this is not asking anyone to commit to a single day or time. This is simply a gauge of potential interest, so we know how many leagues need to be created and how many teams/players we need to find.
This is what we need you to do:
- Leave a comment in the comments section, expressing your interest in playing fantasy baseball with the Disciples of Uecker crew this year.
- Please be sure to leave a legitimate email address in the form (not in the body of the comment itself) when commenting. That is how I will be contacting all of you in the future with dates/times for the draft.
- Do not express interest if you are not legitimately interested in playing fantasy baseball for the entire season. If you are a person who gets bored after a month or two and lets your team waste away at the bottom of your league, this is probably not the league(s) for you.
- If interested in playing fantasy baseball this year, vote in the poll featured below. It will help determine if we will play a rotisserie or head-to-head league.
