Wolf pitched well instead of Bush. Counsell made the error instead of Escobar. Everybody still sucked at the plate (except for Weeks, who had a two hit game).
That’s incredibly disappointing, given that the Giants are a weak lineup with weak defense and Sanchez and Bumgarner aren’t exactly aces.
Tomorrow, the Brewers do face an ace. The Brewers and Chris Narveson will have to beat Tim Lincecum. Anything can happen, but avoiding the sweep will certainly be difficult.
