Prospect of the Day:  RHP Eric Semmelhack (Class-A Wisconsin)

After getting torched for nine runs (six earned) in his most recent outing, the 6-foot-5 righty rebounded nicely with six scoreless innings to lead the Timber Rattlers their fifth-consecutive victory.

The Brewers drafted Semmelhack in the 12th round of last year’s MLB Draft out of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. While the local ties are certainly nice, the organization drafted him more for his fastball that could touch 94 mph in college than for his decision to play at the only Division I baseball program in the state of Wisconsin.

Side Note: Here is an impressive opposite-field home run from Victor Roache, whose power is showing no ill-effects from a serious wrist injury just last year.
