Prospect of the Day: CF Logan Schafer
Logan Schafer enjoyed a tremendous double-header against the Iowa Cubs. Through the two games, he went 5-for-5 with a triple, three runs batted in, two walks, two stolen bases, and two runs. That gives him a .382/.450/.529 slash line over the last ten games, as he heats up in Triple-A.
The center fielder really impressed the organization this spring with his professional approach at the plate, his above-average defense, and his overall approach. Scouts still question whether or not he will hit for enough power to secure a starting job at the big league level, but his solid all-around game should give him a chance to start somewhere (if not Milwaukee) for a year or two. Ultimately, he fits much better as a true fourth outfielder — a guy who can roam around, play all three outfield positions, and handle right-handed pitching.
It will be interesting to see what Milwaukee does in center field next season — as Nyjer Morgan, Carlos Gomez, and Norichika Aoki will all remain options in center — because sending Schafer down to Triple-A yet again seems a waste, at this point.

Anyone know why Jungmann was skipped in the rotation?
