Prospect of the Day: RHP Seth McClung
The former Devil Rays and Brewers pitcher has largely struggled this season, compiling a 4.82 ERA through 84 innings, but he was dynamite on the mound Saturday night. He tossed six scoreless innings, striking out three and walking three. It marked quite the comeback from his previous start, in which he surrendered nine hits and eight runs over 5.2 innings.
McClung is certainly not considered a prospect at 31-years-old, but he still has some velocity on the fastball and is a very positive clubhouse presence for the youngsters in Nashville. He has always been extremely supportive of the Milwaukee community, as well.
Great to see Big Red throw the baseball well on Saturday evening.
