Devin Williams worked six innings for Helena on Friday night, allowing just one run while striking out five.

NASHVILLE 7, Round Rock 4

The Sounds scored five runs in the second as they knocked off Round Rock 7-4. Michael Blazek started and went 4.2 innings, allowing three runs. Dustin Molleken followed with two innings, giving up one run to earn the win. Rob Wooten picked up the save. Jason Rogers led the offense, going 3-for-4 with a home run. Logan Schafer was 2-for-5 with a homer and Hunter Morris was 2-for-4 with a double.

Mississippi 5, HUNTSVILLE 0

The Stars were shutout by Mississippi 5-0. Jacob Barnes made the start and took the loss, going six innings and allowing two runs. Erik Komatsu and Josh Prince each had two hits while Tyrone Taylor and Hector Gimenez each added a single.


The Manatees and Blue Jays were rained out on Friday. The two teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday.

Burlington 4, WISCONSIN 2

Burlington doubled up Wisconsin 4-2. Preston Gainey took the loss after going five innings and allowing three runs, two earned. Taylor Brennan, Johnny Davis and Clint Coulter each collected two hits. Rafael Neda singled and drew a pair of walks.

HELENA 5, Great Falls 3

Helena scored four runs in the eighth as they beat Great Falls 5-3. Devin Williams started and went six innings, allowing just one run. Brandon Woodruff followed with three innings, allowing two runs and earned the win. Edgardo Rivera went 3-for-4 with a double while Jack Cleary and Eric Williams each added two hits.
