Brevard County second baseman Nathan Orf singled, doubled twice, and scored three runs on Monday night.

NASHVILLE 0, New Orleans 4

The Sounds were shut out and Ariel Pena allowed four runs in seven innings as his record dropped to 8-7 on the season. Kyle Heckathorn worked a scoreless eighth inning. Nashville managed six hits, all singles, getting two each from Logan Schafer, Irving Falu and Hector Gomez.

Jacksonville 1, HUNTSVILLE 2

The Stars scored a run on a wild pitch in the seventh to break a 1-1 tie and pick up a 2-1 win. Brent Suter made the start and went five innings, giving up one run. Greg Holle worked two scoreless and earned the win while David Goforth worked the final two frames to nail down the save. Josh Fellhauer went 2-for-4 with a double and a triple. Adam Weisenburger, Hector Gimenez, Robinzon Diaz and Yadiel Rivera each singled.

BREVARD COUNTY 6, Bradenton 9

Bradenton scored three runs in the seventh as they came from behind to knock off Brevard 9-6. Damien Magnifico started and went five innings. Tyler Spurlin worked one inning and allowed two unearned runs. Scott Lieser gave up three runs in an inning and Trevor Seidenberger worked a scoreless eighth. Nathan Orf went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles and scored three runs. Victor Roache went 2-for-3 with a double and Alfredo Rodriguez had two hits and two walks in four plate appearances.

WISCONSIN 4, Cedar Rapids 3

The Rattlers plated a run in the ninth when Johnny Davis scored on a sacrifice fly to top Cedar Rapids 4-3. Zach Quintana started and went four innings, allowing two runs. Luke Curtis followed with three innings in which he gave up just one run and Tristan Archer worked the final two scoreless to earn the win. Chris McFarland went 2-for-3 with a walk and a sacrifice. Angel Ortega singled and doubled and Michael Ratterree added a base hit and a walk.

HELENA 7, Idaho Falls 8

Down 6-1 in the eighth, Helena rallied back with four in the eighth and two in the ninth to tie the game at 7-7, but Idaho Falls put up a run in the 10th to walk off with an 8-7 win. David Carver started and gave up four runs in 2.2 innings. Tyler Linehan followed with 1.1 scoreless innings. Zach Hirsch came on after Linehan and allowed two runs in three innings. Junior Rincon gave up a run in 1.2 innings and Ryan Deeter surrendered an unearned run in a third of an inning to take the loss. Sthervin Matos went 2-for-5 with a double and a home run. Luis Aviles also had two hits and Gregory Munoz added a triple.


The Maryvale team was off on Monday. They will return to play on Tuesday when they head to Peoria to take on the Mariners.


The Brewers were shut out by the Braves on Monday, losing 3-0. Nattino Diplan started and went five innings, giving up two runs and was tagged with the loss. Pedro Peguero followed and allowed a run in 2.2 innings. Boanerges Nova struck out the lone batter he faced. Yerald Martinez went 2-for-4 with a double while Kevin Martinez also added a double. Raphachel Colatosti and Joantgel Segovia each singled for the only other Brewers hits.
