NASHVILLE 5, Oklahoma City 7

The Sounds were nipped by Oklahoma City 7-5. Taylor Jungmann got the start and went five innings, allowing three runs. Brent Leach was charged with the loss after giving up two runs in an inning of work. Hector Gomez went 3-for-4 with a double and a home run. Kevin Mattison went 2-for-4 and stole a base while Irving Falu singled twice and drew a walk.

Tennessee 10, HUNTSVILLE 3

The Stars were crushed by Tennessee on Sunday 10-3. Brent Suter started and took the loss after giving up six runs in 4.2 innings. Yadiel Rivera went 2-for-3 with a doubled to lead the Huntsville offense while Joey Paciorek added a single and a pair of walks.

BREVARD COUNTY 4, Fort Myers 7

The Manatees got a three-run homer from Michael Reed in the eighth inning but managed little else as they lost 7-4. Reed finished the day 2-for-4 and Nathan Orf went 3-for-5 with a double. Starting pitcher Jorge Lopez was tagged with the loss after going 5.2 innings and giving up six runs, five earned. Chad Pierce worked the final 2.1 innings, giving up one run.

Daytona 0, WISCONSIN 3

Clint Terry and Barrett Astin combined to shutout Daytona and Michael Ratterree homered for the second straight game as Wisconsin knocked off Daytona 3-0. Terry went six scoreless to earn the win and Astin allowed just one hit over the final three to earn the save. Chris McFarland singled and knocked in a pair of runs.

Grand Junction 2, HELENA 4

After Grand Junction scored two runs in the top of the eighth, Helena answered back with two in the bottom of the eighth as they doubled up the Rockies 4-2. Tucker Neuhaus went 2-for-4 with a double and Brandon Diaz added a double and a walk. Brandon Woodruff started and went five scoreless innings. Devin Williams worked the final four, allowing two runs and was credited with the victory.


The Brewers were off on Sunday. They return to play on Monday evening when they travel to Peoria to take on the San Diego Padres AZL team.


The Dominican Summer League was off on Sunday as they held their All-Star game. The Brewers will be back in action on Monday morning when they play host to the Rangers affiliate.
