NASHVILLE 3, Round Rock 4

Mike Fiers allowed four runs in seven innings as the Sounds fell to Round Rock 4-3. Jeremy Jeffress tossed a scoreless eighth inning. Hector Gomez and Eugenio Velez each picked up a pair of hits and Matt Pagnozzi clubbed his ninth home run of the year. Sean Halton singled for the only other Nashville hit of the game.

Jackson 6, HUNTSVILLE 7

Jackson pushed across a run in the top of the tenth inning to defeat Huntsville 7-6. Kentrail Davis reached base in four of his five plate appearances, walking three times and adding a double. Nick Ramirez and Robinzon Diaz each added a pair of hits. Jed Bradley started and went six and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs. Kevin Shackelford surrendered a run on three hits in the tenth inning and was charged with the loss.

Clearwater, BREVARD COUNTY PPD (Rain)

The Manatees were rained out again for the third straight night. They will attempt to play a doubleheader tomorrow, with the first game scheduled for 3:05 pm CST.

WISCONSIN, Quad Cities PPD (Rain)

The Timber Rattlers and River Bandits were also rained out on Saturday. They will also play a doubleheader on Sunday afternoon with the first game scheduled for 4:00 pm CST.

Billings 3, HELENA 5

The Brewers used a four run second inning to take game one of their doubleheader 5-3. Cy Sneed started and went four innings, allowing just one run before giving way to Brandon Moore. Moore worked the final three innings, and gave up two runs to earn the win. Francisco Castillo led the offense, going 3-for-4 with a pair of runs batted in. Brandon Diaz and Natanael Mejia each added a pair of hits in three at bats.

Billings 5, HELENA 6

Helena tried to mount a late rally, but came up just short in game two, falling to Billings 6-5. Sthervin Matos went 2-for-4 with a home run in his Helena debut. Francisco Castillo also went 2-for-4. he singled, tripled and knocked in three runs. Luis Ortega started and took the loss after giving up three unearned runs in four innings. Junior Rincon followed and gave up three runs in an inning before giving way to Tyler Linehan who tossed two scoreless frames.


The Reds racked up seven runs on thirteen hits to knock off the Brewers 7-2. Jacob Gatewood doubled for the only Brewers extra-base hit. Juan Ortiz, Carlos Belonis and Leudi Otano each singled for the only other Maryvale hits. Milton Gomez started and took the loss after giving up five runs, two earned in three innings. Taylor Stark gave up two unearned runs in two innings and Bubba Blau followed Stark with two shutout innings.

DSL Blue Jays 10, DSL BREWERS 8

The Blue Jays used a pair of five run innings to topple the Brewers 10-8. Johel Atencio led the Brewers offense, going 3-for-5 while Raphachel Colatosti, Dilson Fernandez and Roosevert Chal each chipped in two hits. Junior Flores started and pitched five scoreless innings. He was followed by Axel Cordero who gave up five unearned runs in just two-thirds of an inning and was charged with the loss.
