Notes on Lucroy and Kottaras | Disciples of Uecker

Disciples of Uecker

We'd like to go to the Playoffs, that would be cool.

- Lucroy will now be the personal starter for Chris Capuano, who starts tonight against Josh Johnson of the Marlins. George Kottaras will catch Randy Wolf.

- George Kottaras is at a 25% walk rate through 100 plate appearances. Of course, you know this, because of the George Kottaras Walk Rate Tracker. Therefore, you also know that this is the best in the majors among anybody with 100 PAs. The only two even above 20% with at least 100 PAs are Chipper Jones and Geovany Soto, both at 20.1% In fact, this is the best walk rate among any player in professional baseball with at least 100 PAs. Second place is Kila Ka’aihue, at 24.8% with AAA Omaha.

- Kottaras’s broken bat homer went 401 feet, according to HitTracker. Watch the video here.
