Podcast, Episode 2.11: “I Don’t Have Many Vowels Left” | Disciples of Uecker

Disciples of Uecker

We'd like to go to the Playoffs, that would be cool.

The podcast has triumphantly returned. After a week off due to the sickness of one of your stalwart hosts, we are back to talk about the last two weeks in Brewers baseball. We were also joined by Jay Jaffe of Baseball Prospectus and (soon) Sports Illustrated to get his take on the Brewers disappointing start to the season.

Be sure to follow Jay on Twitter (@jay_jaffe) and be sure to follow his new writing at SI starting on Monday.

Here is the agenda for this week’s podcast:

  • Introduction
  • Mailbag: “Is Cesar Izturis the worst hitter in baseball?”
  • Where is the offense?
  • Run Differentials
  • Corey Hart at First Base
  • Minor League Stuff
    • Jed Bradley’s Injury
    • Andy Moye and Hiram Burgos
  • Jay Jaffe Interview
  • Closing

Wow. The content is great but you guys really need to figure out a way to improve the sound quality. The interview was damn near unlistenable. Especially through speakers, as I was driving. I download and listen every week but I’m on the verge of giving up. It sounds like you guys are underwater and talking on tin cans connected with strings. I have a hard time getting through all the baseball podcasts I like, time wise, as it is. Please, figure it out. You guys are linked to ESPN, you should have some production values. I’d hate to drop my brew crew news.
