Podcast, Episode 2.13: “That’s Fairytale Stuff” | Disciples of Uecker

Disciples of Uecker

We'd like to go to the Playoffs, that would be cool.

The Milwaukee Brewers are starting to win some ballgames, and we thought we would celebrate with another installment of the podcast.

This week, Ryan and I were joined by the great Kevin Goldstein of Baseball Prospectus and ESPN. He discussed the new MLB Draft rules, the Brewers’ draft as a whole, and also discussed his thoughts about the Brewers’ farm system. It was an enjoyable interview to conduct, so I’m hoping that it’s just as enjoyable to listen to.

You can follow Kevin on Twitter (@Kevin_Goldstein) and be sure to listen to his podcast, the Up and In Podcast, which can be found on the Baseball Prospectus website, as well as the iTunes store.

Here is the agenda for this week:

  • Introduction
  • Mailbag: “What to do about Rickie Weeks?”
  • Norichika Aoki
  • Martin Maldonado
  • MLB Draft
    • Overall Thoughts
    • First Three Picks
    • Favorite Picks
  • Interview w/ Kevin Goldstein
  • Previewing Interleague Play
  • Closing

Great job, guys. I love listening to Mr. Goldstein’s brutal honesty: “Name one player at Wisconsin who excites you? ummm…well…ummm…ah..” He always says what needs to be said. I find it interesting the Jorge Lopez’s name keeps popping up.

Hope you get Kevin back on again soon.
