Site News: DoU Is Searching For Writers | Disciples of Uecker

Disciples of Uecker

We'd like to go to the Playoffs, that would be cool.

Disciples of Uecker strives to provide quality Brewers content on a consistent basis.

I feel we’ve done pretty well on that front this past year. Nicholas Zettel has really begun to come into his own as a baseball writer, and Jaymes Langrehr continues to churn out quality Brewers’ news pieces promptly after the stories break without sacrificing substance. Ryan Topp keeps me on my toes with the Bernie’s Crew Podcast and crafts wonderful articles when the muse descends. Other writers — including Tim Schaefer, Alex Poterack, and Will Wojcik — also add extreme value when they have the opportunity to escape real life and drop by the site.

Of course, as you all know, Jack Moore did so well this past year that he’s moved on to a full-time gig with CBS Sports. He’ll still be around from time-to-time throughout the season, though, so don’t think you’ve seen the last of Jack around DoU.

I wanted to also extend a huge thank you to everyone who reads Disciples of Uecker on a daily basis, as well as to those of you who only visit occasionally. Disciples of Uecker enjoyed record traffic last year, and it’s all because of you. So, thank you.

In an effort to improve our coverage of the Milwaukee Brewers and offer additional points of view, the site is looking to add another writer or two for the upcoming season. Unfortunately, the position does not offer any monetary compensation, but it does present a vehicle for your articles to be read by thousands of people per month. Any potential writer would be expected to contribute one or two articles per week.

If you’re interested in writing for Disciples of Uecker, please email me at with a brief background about yourself and your past writing experience (if any). Also include a brief writing sample.

So, once again, thank you to everyone who reads the website. And to everyone who wishes to write here at DoU, I look forward to receiving your email.
