The bad news is here.
According to the Associated Press, there was a tear found at the site of the valve replacement which will require another surgery. The first surgery was performed in April.
By all accounts, Uecker is handling this with his trademark class and optimism. The recovery time will be eight to twelve weeks, which means that he should be back in the booth for opening day, something that all Brewers fans should be thankful for every year and even moreso come 2011.
My thoughts are with Bob and I’m sure that the thoughts of all baseball fans both in and out of Milwaukee and Wisconsin are as well.
